The World Halal Summit 2025, currently being hosted by Malaysia, continues from September 16 to 26, with the participation of 92 accredited halal certification bodies and delegations from 47 countries.
The Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars in Belgium is participating in the conference. In a written statement to the Europa-Arab website, he said of his participation, "This global conference on halal standards in the Malaysian capital is organized by the Malaysian Islamic Development Agency (JAKIM). The GHaS 2025 conference brings together global halal certification bodies, policymakers, researchers, and industry experts in a high-impact summit that aims to:
Drive excellence and innovation in halal standards; Promote global cooperation in the halal field; and Promote Sharia-compliant practices across various sectors participating in the dialogue that shapes the future of halal around the world."
The conference organizing committee said in a statement, "Malaysia welcomes all international delegations to the World Halal Summit 2025." Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stated that the presence of ambassadors, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders at the summit reflects the global commitment to developing the halal ecosystem. In a Facebook post on Monday, he said, "We are honored to host you in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. Malaysia is proud to be a strategic bridge for integrity, sustainability, and resilience in the halal world, and together, we can take halal excellence to greater heights."
Ahmad Zahid, Chairman of the Halal Industry Development Council of Malaysia, warmly welcomed the delegates, hoping their participation would foster new knowledge, partnerships, and opportunities that would benefit their countries and contribute to building a sustainable and reliable global halal industry.
This year's summit, themed "Integrity, Sustainability, and Resilience," serves as a key platform for dialogue and collaboration among halal stakeholders around the world. — Bernama
