The US Food and Drug Administration approves the first targeted treatment for a new type of breast cancer

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a drug intended to treat a new type of breast cancer called HER2-Low, which is intended for women with advanced breast cancer that cannot be removed surgically or has spread to other parts of the body. In clinical trials, Inherto nearly doubled the amount of time a woman could live with cancer without it getting worse.
