Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
De la Poche Theater in the Belgian capital Brussels will host from 5 to 22 October a play entitled "I will not hate", inspired by a book with the same title by Palestinian doctor Dr. Ezzedine Abu Al-Aish.
The play was directed by the Belgian artist
Denis Laujol l and representing the Belgian artist of Moroccan origin
Deborah Rouach
The book, which Dr. Ezz El-Din wrote, initially in English and later translated into 23 languages, deals briefly with the issue of the Palestinian people from the catastrophe, asylum, deprivation, and Israeli oppression in all its forms and successive wars waged by the Israeli occupation on Ezzak sector, through the story of Dr. Ezz El-Din Abu El-Aish himself, who was born in a refugee camp. Jabalia, for refugees, in the northern Gaza Strip, after his family was forced to leave their village inside the Palestinian territories.
In Jabalia camp, the child Ezzedine lived with his family in harsh conditions imposed by the Israeli occupation, where he completed his studies and went to Cairo to learn the medical profession to become a successful doctor in the field of obstetrics and later to complete his studies in a number of countries around the world, including in Belhaka.
On January 16, 2009, during the Israeli war on Gaza, Dr. Ezzedine was about to turn his life upside down. An Israeli tank fired shells at his house, killing 4 of his daughters.
The media followed this tragic tragedy, which Dr. Ezzedine documented in his book “I will not hate” in Canada, where he settled there to teach at one of the medical colleges there, and there is an international organization called “Life for Girls” that is interested in providing the opportunity for girls with few financial resources to complete their education.
