The United States of America condemned the death of 15 migrants and asylum seekers in the city of Sabratha, northeastern Libya.
The American embassy in Libya - according to the American (Al -Hurra) channel today, Monday - called on the authorities to investigate the attack as soon as possible and the trial of those involved, as well as intensifying efforts to combat human trafficking.
And 15 illegal immigrants were killed last Friday by bullets, at the hands of smugglers, inside the boat that was carrying them, before setting fire to their bodies, on the coast of the city of Sabratha.
And the incidents of migrants were repeated in the hands of the smuggling gangs in Libya, where 12 illegal smugglers had previously killed in the city of Bani Walid, western Libya, fir West Libya, due to the longest they stay inside.
It is noteworthy that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya condemned the killing of 15 immigrants and at least asylum in Sabratha.
The mission - in a statement reported by the Libyan News Agency (WAL) yesterday, Sunday, called on the Libyan authorities to ensure a quick, independent and transparent investigation to bring all the perpetrators to justice, especially since the details of the incident have not been disclosed yet, and it was reported that the killing resulted from armed clashes between the traders In competing human beings.
The mission considered this attack as a flagrant reminder of the weak protection faced by immigrants and the seeker of asylum in Libya, and the widespread violations of human rights committed by strong smuggling networks.
