The survey came before the rise in gas and electricity prices in the wake of the Russian war on Ukraine, as the core inflation rate in Belgium reached 10.63% in November, and the consumer price index in the eurozone totaled about 10%.
A few days ago, Belgium witnessed numbers of citizens taking to the streets to protest against the high prices of some commodities. These protests also affected traffic and flights from Brussels Airport.
