Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, started her tweet today, Saturday, by saying that the fighting has been going on in Ukraine for nine months, and no one will match the sacrifices of the Ukrainians, and the European Union will continue to provide financial assistance and the next is more.
In her Twitter post, the high-ranking official said that all EU countries had agreed to a proposal by the Commission to provide 18 billion euros in total financial assistance to Ukraine next year.
She added, "The regular disbursement of funds to Kiev will contribute to carrying out urgent reforms and pave the way for reconstruction," stressing that the reconstruction will put Ukraine "on the path to joining the European Union."
The President of the Commission noted that the European Union has provided more than 19 billion euros to support Ukraine this year.
