The Netherlands: A former ISIS security official was arrested after he was granted asylum

Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The arrest of a Syrian person in the Netherlands raised many questions after the authorities said that he is a former leader in ISIS, but at the same time he is a resident of the Dutch countries after he applied for asylum and the concerned authorities approved this request.
And colleague Noureddine Al-Omrani from the Netherlands wrote:
In the southern Dutch city of Arkel, a 37-year-old Syrian citizen was arrested today by the Anti-Terrorism Services, according to a report by the Naturalization and Immigration Authority.
The arrested man was heading two wings of ISIS and he was leading a security wing of Al-Nusra Front
The Dutch Public Prosecution Office, in turn, published a statement confirming the leadership of the man of Syrian origin to a camp in Damascus, and after the collapse of the “Islamic Caliphate” in Iraq, the arrested person joined the Netherlands, where he requested political asylum and obtained housing in the city of Arkel.
Media sources considered that the acceptance of the asylum request by the Naturalization and Immigration Department and allowing him to reside in the Netherlands is incomprehensible, and as of writing these lines, no response has been issued from the responsible authorities.
