European Union countries agree to a regulation allowing access to forensic evidence regardless of where it is stored

The rotating presidency of the European Union, which is currently held by Sweden, said that the member states of the united bloc agreed, during a meeting held today, Wednesday, in Brussels, to the agreement reached with the European Parliament after negotiations on a draft regulation that includes provisions that allow access to the judicial evidence that they need in various cases. Regardless of the country in which this evidence is located, which allows for the removal of one of the obstacles that were standing in the way of achieving justice
According to a tweet by the EU's rotating presidency, EU ambassadors today confirmed the agreement reached with the European Parliament on a draft regulation and draft directive on cross-border access to electronic evidence. Judges and prosecutors will have quick access to the evidence they need, no matter where it is stored.
