In the week of January 23-29 (the fourth week), corporate courts declared 159 bankruptcies. A total of 374 jobs were lost. According to what was announced by the Belgian Statistics Office today, Wednesday, and added, "Thus, the numbers for the fourth week show a decrease in bankruptcies and job losses compared to the previous" third "week."
In all, in the first four weeks of 2023, corporate courts have ruled on 647 bankruptcies.
This represents a 12.7% increase in bankruptcies than in the first four weeks of the year 2022.
