After a series of devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, King Charles met members of the Syrian and Turkish communities in London to express his support for those affected at this difficult time. More than 13 million people in the two countries were affected by the earthquakes.

In Hounslow, His Majesty met volunteers collecting donations, packing boxes and organizing food, blankets and winter clothes for those affected in Turkey.
In Trafalgar Square, His Majesty the King inaugurated Dar Syria, a temporary tent erected by members of the Syrian community as a headquarters for them to provide support to those in need.
