Send another clear message to Iran and adopt the fifth package of sanctions against persons and entities responsible for human rights violations in Iran. The package contains sanctions against ministers, parliamentarians, intelligence agencies and people in the judicial system
This came after the conclusion of a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Union countries in Brussels on Monday, and according to what was published in the Official Gazette of the European Union, in this context, and in line with the Union’s commitment to addressing all issues of concern to Iran, including the human rights situation, as confirmed by the conclusions of the Council on December 12, 2022, 32 persons and 2 entities must be included in the Natural Persons List. and legal persons, entities and bodies subject to the restrictive measures in Annex I of Regulation (EU) No. 359/2011.
I have approved this regulation and this regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. This regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
The list included the names of some ministers, including Muhammad Mahdi Ismail, Minister of Culture, Youssef Nuri, Minister of Education, Wali Ismaili, Chairman of the Social Committee in Parliament, Zahra Al-Lahyan, member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, and other deputies, including Ahmed Nauri, Hussein Jalali and others. As for entities, two entities were added, namely the Institute of Studies. and political and social sciences and the Cooperation Foundation for Law Enforcement Forces of the Islamic Republic
