
The UAE confirms its commitment to combating international financial crime

The UAE affirmed its firm commitment to continuing its efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, and its continuous work with the FATF financial work group.
The UAE welcomed the announcement issued by the Financial Working Group on February 24th during the group's second session under the presidency of Singapore in Paris, which concluded the FATF 2023 week.
At this meeting, the Financial Working Group "FAF" approved a high -level political commitment and the strong progress that the UAE has shown in this field.
The competent Emirati authorities have made unprecedented progress in adopting international standards to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, and this includes the approach followed at the government level to improve coordination between the authorities concerned with facing financial crimes, expanding the scope of international cooperation to prevent them, and prosecute their perpetrators, as well as strengthening partnership initiatives between the two sectors General and private.
The Emirates News Agency stated that Abu Dhabi continues to implement a set of important and advanced measures to combat financial crime and to enhance the effectiveness of the anti -money laundering and terrorist system in line with the national strategy to combat this crime and the National Action Plan.
The UAE has allocated significant human resources as well as investing in enhancing the system of facing money laundering and financing terrorism to stop the illegal financial flows in a coordinated proactive manner, as it stressed that cooperation with international partners is necessary in this regard to support and enhance collective efforts to combat financial crime.
