Borrell: The refusal of all countries to buy Russian oil will lead to an imbalance in the global market

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated that the refusal of all countries to buy Russian oil will create problems and lead to an imbalance in the global oil market.

"We know that the oil market must be balanced, and if everyone in the world does not buy Russian oil, we will have problems because the market will be very unbalanced," Borrell said in an interview with the Hindustan Times.

He noted in this regard that the European Union "is not concerned at all about the fact that India is buying Russian oil."

Borrell added: "So this is not a problem for us and it is good for India to be able to buy Russian oil at a better price."

Since the launch of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Western countries, led by the United States, have taken the initiative to impose unilateral sanctions on Russia, and many European countries have refrained from buying Russian oil and tried to impose a price ceiling on it, in an attempt to prevent other countries from buying it.
