Dead and wounded in an explosion inside a security area in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif

Afghan media said that a huge explosion took place this morning, Saturday, in the second security area in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, which resulted in a number of casualties, including dead and wounded.

And Afghan media reported that the explosion occurred when the journalists were meeting on a news program, but the local authorities have not issued any statements about this so far.

In April of last year, a suicide bombing, claimed by the terrorist organization ISIS, targeted the Mazar-i-Sharif mosque during the noon prayer, in the center of the city of Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan, killing at least 31 people and wounding more than 87 others.
