Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The Commission launched the Spring Call under the title "Discover Europe", through which 35,000 young people will receive a free train ticket to explore Europe.
According to a statement by the European Commission in Brussels, the application period began on Wednesday at 12:00 CET and ends on March 29 at 12:00 CET. To win a transport ticket, young people are invited to apply on the European Youth Portal, answering five questions and a sub-question.
Successful applicants born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2005 will be able to travel to Europe for up to 30 days during the travel period from 15 June 2023 to 30 September 2024.
This year, participants will be able to discover the new European Bauhaus route, launched in January 2023. This route aims to inspire young people in choosing their destinations and raise awareness of the importance of making the European Union “beautiful, sustainable, united”.
Participants will also continue to benefit from initiatives launched in 2022 during the European Year of Youth, among which is the DiscoverEU cultural track that brings together various cultural destinations and disciplines, including architecture, music, fine arts, theatre, fashion and design.
DiscoverEU travelers will be able to visit European capitals of culture, destinations included in the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List or holders of the European Heritage label.
Participants will receive a discount card, with more than 40,000 discount opportunities on public transport, culture, accommodation, food, sports and other services available in eligible countries.
