According to the Europol on its official website, on March 30, simultaneous measures were implemented in Brazil with the support of Europol to dismantle the criminal group that arrived from Paraguay to Europe.
A total of 15 people were arrested, and more than 80 million euros of assets were seized.
Throughout the investigation, more than 17 tons of cocaine associated with this criminal organization were found, at the value of a street estimated at several billion euros.

This two -year investigation, known as the Hinterland, was crowned with a series of procedures that were carried out simultaneously on March 30 to drop the entire criminal infrastructure associated with this group.

Enforcement measures were implemented against the criminal organization responsible for multiple cocaine shipments, its suppliers, as well as the money laundering structure.

This working day was coordinated from two leadership centers in Port Alegre and Rio Grande (Brazil).

Intelligence
The investigation of Brazil began after the Brazilian Federal Police received intelligence from German customs in confiscation in December 2020 from 316 kilograms of cocaine in Hamburg (Germany). Initial information indicates that a Brazilian company was used to charge cocaine from Brazil to Europe.

Based on the analysis conducted by the Europol and the French authorities (OFST), the Brazilian Federal Police managed to draw the criminal network that was operating even mostly under the radar.

Investigators managed to reveal how the Brazilian drug smuggling organization imported this cocaine from the truck -hidden Paraguay, before exporting it to Europe.

The first arrest was in October 2022 by the Brazilian Federal Police. The goal of the priority in Paraguay was arrested for his alleged involvement in the management of logistics services between Paraguay and Brazil, and directly negotiated with suppliers in Paraguay and Bolivia.

The final rounds of the arrests on March 30 were the culmination of several months of monitoring, intelligence and coordination between the various law enforcement authorities participating in preparing for work.
