Borrell to Indonesia today to attend the annual ministerial meeting between the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations

It was announced in Brussels that from July 12 to 14, Senior Coordinator for Foreign Policies Josep Borrell will be in Indonesia on the occasion of the annual ministerial meeting between the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ARF) Regional Forum.
On Thursday, July 13, Borrell will co-chair the annual EU-ASEAN ministerial meeting, along with the Philippine Foreign Minister, Enrique Manalo, according to a source from the EU Institutions in Brussels.
At this meeting, the EU and ASEAN will review progress under the new EU-ASEAN Action Plan for the period 2023-2027.
The ministers will also discuss the implementation of the decisions adopted at the EU-ASEAN summit, in which the leaders of the EU and ASEAN member states took part, which took place in Brussels in December 2022.
On July 14, Borrell will represent the EU at the Ministerial Forum of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ARF) Regional Forum, chaired by Indonesia.
The member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, along with 17 other partners, will participate in the ASEAN Forum to exchange views on a number of regional and global issues.
While in Jakarta, Borrell will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with various regional and international interlocutors.
