Belgian authorities said a 55-year-old man died on Sunday of his injuries. He was found on the street last week with stab wounds. This is the third such incident in a month
According to local media in Brussels, earlier this summer, on July 12, a 55-year-old homeless man was found on a park bench. He had been stabbed to death. Another ten days later, on July 22, a 51-year-old woman was subjected to a similar attack. She was seriously injured, but she escaped death.
According to a spokeswoman, the police believe that a single perpetrator or a group of perpetrators is responsible for the three attacks. In response to the violence, relief organizations provided additional shelters where the homeless could spend the night to avoid similar incidents.
