Moscow: Western counter-terrorism operations are a cover to control the resources of other countries

Moscow: agencies
The Russian Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Maria Zabolotskaya, announced that the operations of Western countries to combat terrorism in other countries are "ineffective" and are considered "a cover for the acquisition of natural resources."

Zabolotskaya said during a session of the UN Security Council, yesterday, Friday: "It is striking the ineffectiveness or failure of the so-called operations to combat terrorism... This indicates that the real tasks of the foreign military presence are represented in completely different matters."

And she added, "Under the cover of fighting terrorism, the acquisition of the natural resources of other countries is in full swing."

She pointed out that the West "uses all means, and is not shy about supporting terrorists" in order to "achieve its geopolitical ambitions, fuel chronic conflicts, and create the illusion of alleged popular resistance to non-democratic regimes."

And she stressed that "Russia will continue to build cooperation on combating terrorism with all parties that are ready for constructive practical cooperation aimed at the common goal, which is the elimination of terrorism in all its forms without hidden agendas and double standards."
