The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, welcomed the European Union’s announcement, granting citizens of the State of Kuwait a preferential advantage in issuing a multi-entry Schengen visa valid for a period of 5 years (provided that the validity period of the passport allows), with unified procedures for citizens applying through the relevant European embassies, including This includes citizens wishing to travel to Schengen countries for the first time.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister described - in a statement today - that this step comes as one of the aspects of high-level coordination and cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the European Union, expressing the State of Kuwait’s appreciation for the member states of the European Union and members of the Schengen Agreement and all its institutions, especially the European Commission and the European External Action Service. For the efforts you made that resulted in obtaining this advantage, stressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ continued coordination and cooperation with the European Union and its member states, leading to the complete exemption of citizens of the State of Kuwait from the Schengen visa.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister stressed that this step will contribute to building bridges and enhancing communication between the citizens of the State of Kuwait and the European peoples in various fields, thus contributing to strengthening the strategic partnership relations between the two sides.
He added that he emphasized that the efforts of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs to exempt citizens of the State of Kuwait from the Schengen visa come within the multiple efforts made by the Ministry in coordination with brotherly and friendly countries in order to facilitate the Kuwaiti citizens and meet all their needs, in implementation of the directives from the political leadership in the State of Kuwait, which highlighted the issue of stopping...
