A forum for the Muslim community in Belgium opens a dialogue about the challenges of the future

Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The activities of a forum on the Muslim community in the country will begin this afternoon in one of the hotels in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, focusing on the challenges of the future. During the two-day activities in the presence of ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries accredited in Brussels and some Belgian political figures, discussions will be about the challenges of society and the exchange of ideas, in addition to other activities. It is open to the associations participating in the forum to introduce their activities and present their programme. Between 15 and 20 minutes will be allocated to them. All Islamic activities have been invited to attend the forum.
In statements to the “Europe and Arabs” website, Sheikh Nour Al-Taweel, one of the most prominent Islamic leaders in Belgium, said that the first forum of its kind will be an opportunity for you to discuss everything that concerns the Muslim community in Belgium, exchange experiences, and revive opportunities for cooperation between various Islamic institutions in several fields, such as education, mosque management, and services provided to society by Muslims over a period of time. For two days there will be participation by parliamentary, political and religious figures, and also let us not forget the role of women in society, as there will be evening institutions and associations discussing the issues faced by women in general, especially Muslim women in particular, in society with regard to social problems, raising children and challenges such as divorce, the elderly and various other issues and how to find ways. For dialogue with the official authorities on the halal issue, and let us not forget to thank the new Belgian Islamic Council, which will participate, and we will come up with important recommendations from the conference, God willing.
