According to what was issued by the European Union Executive, Commissioner Hoekstra is participating in the ad hoc ministerial consultation on adaptation with the Minister of Environmental Transition of Spain, Teresa Ribera, the Minister of the Environment of Chile, Maisa Rojas, and the Minister of Climate Change and Energy of Australia, Jenny McAllister; He meets with South Africa's Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environmental Affairs, Barbara Creasy.
During the first visit of the European Union Commissioner to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before his arrival in Abu Dhabi, the European envoy held a fruitful meeting with the Saudi Minister of Energy, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, according to what was announced by the European Information Center in the Gulf region, and he added in a tweet on the X website, “formerly Twitter.” The two sides discussed cooperation between the European Union and Saudi Arabia in the field of climate and the latest matters related to preparations for the COP28UAE conference, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates.
