White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, said that US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson's bill to fund government programs will lead to chaos in the United States.
Johnson introduced a two-stage law aimed at preventing a financial shutdown in the United States, which includes funding part of government programs, also related to transportation, energy and military construction, by January 19. Funding will be calculated for the rest of the government sectors until February 2, according to what was reported by the Youm 7 news website in Cairo
At the same time, Johnson's law does not include funds for Israel and Ukraine.
“House Republicans are wasting time on a trivial proposal,” the White House press secretary said.
The US President requested $106 billion to support Ukraine and Israel, but there is no support for the request in Congress.
Fox News reported that the House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on the bill on Tuesday.
