In the first statement by the leader of the Populist Party, Geert Wilders, to Channel 2 TV in its program “News Hour,” he called for the need to focus on the major issues of concern to Dutch society, the policy of immigration and asylum, and the economic and social conditions of Dutch citizens, male and female, and to focus on the difficulties that preoccupy Dutch public opinion. As for Islam and the status of Muslims, it will be postponed later. This statement came from Geert Wilders, who is known for his hostility to Muslims and Islam in Dutch society. Since 2006, he has been demanding an end to the Islamization of Dutch society, preventing the wearing of the hijab, and even imposing a tax on Muslim women, preventing them from entering government buildings, and preventing the construction of mosques.
It is a statement in which he wants to participate in the next government that will be formed after the parliamentary elections, which will take place next week, on November 22nd.
The leader of Islamophobia, Wilders, said that he was ready to “temporarily give up” some of his ideas about Islam, but he did not back down from his position on Islam, which he considers an ideology that rejects the values and civilization of the West.
However, this statement was considered by opponents of hatred, hatred and Islamophobia in Dutch society as “a poisoned gift from a snake waiting for the opportunity to further restrict Muslims in the Netherlands, but this time through the gate of the next government.”
