For his part, Director of the Ministry's Second European Department, Sergei Belyaev, said in a statement reported by Russia Today channel, today, Monday, that his country will respond in kind to any unfriendly steps by London in the field of visas... adding that the Russian Foreign Ministry continues to receive complaints. He explained that the matter does not concern only tourists, but also Russians working in Britain according to contracts, as well as Russians wishing to visit their relatives, noting that when discussing these procedures with London, the British talk about the excessive workload that British immigration authorities bear regarding visa applications submitted by Ukrainians. , which has now become her absolute priority.
On the other hand, the Director of the Second European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that his country will not leave any anti-Finland actions without a response.
The director of the administration pointed out that Finland has been practicing, since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, “an escalating confrontational and anti-Russian policy” that includes supporting Kiev, supplying it with weapons, and tightening the pressure of the sanctions imposed on Russia, adding that after Finland joined NATO, “the active bilateral political dialogue was frozen at all times.” levels, cutting off communications between bodies, causing irreparable damage to advanced trade and economic cooperation, and cutting ties between regions, including neighboring regions and sister cities.”
