On Wednesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba submitted his resignation letter to his country's parliament, one day after President Volodymyr Zelensky announced changes in the cabinet.
The official Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform quoted Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk as saying, "He received Kuleba's resignation letter from his post."
Yesterday, the Ukrainian parliament received the resignations of Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Justice Denys Malyushka, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna, and Head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also dismissed Rostislav Shurma from the post of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.
This comes after President Volodymyr Zelensky announced changes in the cabinet and presidential office positions on Tuesday, explaining that this was due to the need to strengthen some sectors of the government.
On the ground, the number of victims of the Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Poltava has risen to 51 dead and more than 200 injured.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office explained, according to the Ukrainian Forum news agency, that according to the procedural instructions of the Poltava Defense Prosecutor General's Office, a court investigation has been launched into the violation of the territorial integrity and sanctity of Ukraine in accordance with Article 110 of the country's Criminal Code.
According to the investigation, the Russian Armed Forces carried out an air attack on the city of Poltava yesterday, Tuesday, using two Iskander-M ballistic missiles that hit an educational institution and a nearby hospital, according to Ukrainian Forum, which explained that it was confirmed that approximately 51 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured as a result of the attack, in addition to the partial destruction of one of the buildings of the Institute of Communications, the hospital and neighboring houses.
On the other hand, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the European Union may be involved in some way in planning the Ukrainian attack on the Russian border region of Kursk.
In a statement published by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the spokeswoman said, "Under the pretext of the right to self-defense and citing the UN Charter, the EU, with the determination of a better cause, justifies any terrorist attacks, war crimes, massacres, abductions of civilians, sexual violence against women committed by militants of the Kiev puppet regime and its mercenaries," according to the Russian TASS news agency.
She added, "Judging by the statements of Josep Borrell, the EU is fully aware of the actions of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region. This may be an indication that the EU was somehow involved in the process of planning and implementing the attack on the Russian region."
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian army launched a massive attack on the Russian Kursk region on the border with Ukraine on August 6. A federal state of emergency was declared in the region, and several airstrike alerts were issued.
The population was evacuated from the border areas to safe areas. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, more than 10,000 displaced people, including more than 2,700 children, have been housed in 200 temporary shelters in 31 Russian regions.,
