
The European Commission participates today in the Future of Energy Security Summit. Talks with Egypt, Ukraine, and Britain on the sidelines of the event in London.

The European Commission announced in Brussels that President Ursula von der Leyen will travel to London on Thursday. She will first meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss cooperation between the European Union and the United Kingdom on global issues, bilateral relations, and the first summit between the two countries, scheduled for May of this year.
Then, the President will participate in the Future of Energy Security Summit, organized by the International Energy Agency and hosted by the United Kingdom. The summit will discuss the geopolitical and economic factors affecting international energy security and address solutions such as the growth of clean energy technologies and their supply chains.
During the summit, President von der Leyen will deliver an afternoon address, highlighting Europe's efforts to promote reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy and the role of international partnerships in this area.
The Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, will participate in the summit by joining a series of panel discussions and side events on clean energy and the transition away from fossil fuels. For more details, the Commissioner will also meet with the UK Minister of State for Energy Security and Zero Carbon, Ed Miliband, the Ukrainian Minister of Energy, German Galushenko, and the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Karim Badawi, according to a statement issued by the European Commission, which was distributed in Brussels and a copy of which we received.
