The first security dialogue of its kind between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council is scheduled to be held today in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to a publication issued on the X website by the European Union delegation to the Gulf Cooperation Council, the dialogue, headed by the Deputy Secretary-General of the European Union, Charles Fries, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Awaisheq, aims to discuss and review opportunities for enhancing cooperation between both the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council. Gulf cooperation, in order to enhance security and peace.
