The United States vowed to respond in an "appropriate" manner to any Russian attack against American commercial satellites, noting that it would hold Russia responsible for any such attack if it occurred.
The Coordinator of Strategic Communications in the US National Security Council, John Kirby, said - in statements reported by the American (Al-Hurra) channel, that any attack on the US infrastructure will be met with an appropriate response in an appropriate manner.
This comes in response to comments by the Russian Foreign Ministry official, Konstantin Vorontsov, in which he said that commercial satellites of the United States and its allies may become legitimate targets for Moscow.
