The infection rate of coronavirus variants has increased in Lebanon since the beginning of this year

Official statistics issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health showed a gradual increase in the rate of daily infections with variants of the Corona virus, since the beginning of this year until today.

In its daily report, the ministry recorded an increase in the infection rate over the past seven days, bringing its average to 219 cases per day, bringing the total number of infections recorded in the country since the beginning of the emergence of the Corona virus in the country to 1,225,251 cases, while the ministry recorded one death among 7 deaths over the course of the week. The past, bringing the total number of deaths in the country due to Corona to 10,760.

The rate of use of intensive care beds in the country increased to 17%, with 31 beds out of 183 beds allocated for corona patients, and the positive rate of laboratory tests reached 14.4%, which led to the classification of the community spread of the virus in the country at level 3, which is one of the medium-risk levels. .

On the second day of this year, the country recorded an average of 103 cases per day, which is a high rate compared to the average number of injuries last December, which was about 50 cases per day.
