Brussels-Washington: Europe and the Arabs
Microsoft announced today, Sunday, that the outages that affected certain services of the company during the past days were the result of electronic attacks, explaining that there is no evidence that customer data has been hacked or accessed. According to the Middle East News Agency.
And Microsoft added - according to the American (Al-Hurra) channel - that it had detected an increase in the percentage of network use against some services in early June, which temporarily affected the availability of data.
Microsoft indicated that it had opened an investigation and started tracking the attacks that caused the denial of service by the threat party, which it refers to as "Storm-1359" after it identified the location of the threat, but did not indicate the party responsible for the attack.
