Within the framework of the Ministry of Immigration’s strategy, which aims to meet the needs of Egyptians abroad, strengthen their connection to the homeland, and provide support through sustainable and effective communication with them in all parts of the world, Ambassador Soha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, urged those wishing to participate in the Egyptians Abroad Cars Initiative to quickly register via the electronic application. regarding the initiative, and seizing the current opportunity, to retain their right to obtain the car and bring it to Egypt.
Ambassador Soha Gendy indicated, in her speech to members of Egyptian communities around the world, the possibility of completing registration procedures for Egyptians who registered in the initiative and were unable to complete them for any reason, stressing that the Egyptian state is keen on the interests of its people abroad, and that the file of Egyptians abroad is of importance. Great for the political leadership.
The Minister of Immigration reassured all members of Egyptian communities abroad that even if the Egyptians Abroad Initiative ends, by registering before its expiration date, they will have the right to bring a car, noting that coordination is underway with various concerned authorities to resolve the various obstacles facing those wishing to bring. A car from Egyptians around the world, including the problems related to financial transfers stipulated in the initiative, and those countries whose transfer is impossible through their financial institutions and which face requirements in some countries, as all these obstacles will be overcome.
The minister indicated that the initiative for Egyptians abroad is scheduled to end next April 28, pointing out that everyone who wishes to participate in this initiative and has not participated in it until this moment must quickly register through its electronic application, and reserve his right to obtain and bring a car. To Egypt without any fees, customs or taxes in exchange for linking the deposit in dollars for a period of 5 years, determined according to the type of each car, which will be recovered after the end of the period in Egyptian pounds at the exchange rate at the time of recovery.
The Minister of Immigration confirmed in the speech, a copy of which we received, that the initiative had been reopened during the recent period, following many wishes and requests that the Ministry of Immigration received from Egyptians abroad during its meetings with them within the framework of the “An Hour with the Minister” initiative. It was also one of the most important recommendations of the conference. Egyptians abroad, in its fourth edition, which was organized by the Ministry of Immigration at the end of last July.
