North Korea: Agencies
North Korea announced on Saturday that it had test-fired a tactical ballistic missile equipped with a new autonomous navigation system, in an exercise supervised by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency said that the missile department successfully conducted the test yesterday in the East Sea of Korea, where the accuracy and reliability of the autonomous navigation system was verified. I love what the Middle East News Agency reported on Saturday
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed his great satisfaction with the result, continued development and success in providing the autonomous navigation system, praising the efforts of the team concerned with defense science and technology, which contributed to achieving this valuable success.
Kim Jong Un issued an order to accelerate production to enhance his country's nuclear power at a faster pace, after supervising the testing of the new ballistic missile.
"This approach will instill fear in the enemy's hearts about North Korea's nuclear combat situation," Kim said.
The South Korean army announced yesterday that North Korea launched a number of short-range ballistic missiles into the sea off its eastern coast on Friday, as the launches came a day after the United States and South Korea conducted joint exercises with stealth fighters in a simulation of air combat.
