The United States condemns the Houthi group's arrest of United Nations employees and diplomats

Washington: Agencies
On Thursday, the US State Department condemned the Houthi arrest campaign against UN employees, diplomats, and non-governmental organizations.
The Ministry also condemned, in a statement reported by the American Al-Hurra channel, the publication of misleading information by the Houthis about the role of its employees in the American mission who were detained through “coerced and false confessions.” Noting that the Houthis’ actions reflect a blatant disregard for the dignity of the Yemeni people and individuals who have dedicated themselves to improving their country. According to what was reported by the Youm 7 website in Cairo from the Middle East News Agency
It is noteworthy that the Houthis carried out dozens of arrests - earlier - against employees of international and local organizations working in the country, most of whom work with the United Nations and the US-funded National Democratic Institute, which works in the field of supporting democracy, and employees of a local group that defends human rights.
