The eyes of Muslims around the world are turning to Nimra Mosque to hear Arafa’s sermon shortly, while hundreds of thousands of pilgrims marched towards the mosque early.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has completed its preparations to receive the pilgrims of the Holy House of God for this year 1445 AH on the Day of Arafat at Nimra Mosque in Arafat, by covering the mosque with luxurious carpets and providing electronic services, interactive guidance screens and Wi-Fi, as well as preparing 1,000 toilets for men and women, in order to provide All means of comfort and reassurance for them, in line with the directives of the wise leadership to harness all capabilities to serve the guests of God. The Ministry also implemented a package of development projects for Namira Mosque, including treating the air conditioning and air purification systems that produce 100% pure air with mechanical air expulsion so that fresh air enters at a rate of twice an hour, to maintain the oxygen level and ensure a healthy environment for pilgrims inside the mosque, and also develop and maintain ( 1,000 toilets for men and women, allocating restrooms for people with disabilities, and special corridors and paths for them. The mosque was also provided with surveillance cameras and interactive indicative screens that broadcast awareness materials of interest to the pilgrim in different international languages, and a Sharia awareness service that allows direct communication via visual communication between the questioner and a team of preachers. And scientists in the ministry; To provide guidance service easily, conveniently, intelligently and in several languages.
This year, the Ministry completed the project to prepare and soften the backyards of the Namira Mosque at a cost amounting to 3,016,210 million riyals. The project covers 12,000 square meters of the backyard of the Namira Mosque and works using fog air cooling technology, absorbing thermal energy from the outside air and reducing its temperature. It consists of 60 fans distributed over 29 concrete columns. The project also helps reduce the temperature to more than 9 degrees Celsius. With the aim of making it easier for the guests of God and relieving them from the high temperatures.
The Ministry also provides the “Wi-Fi” service to the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque in the mosque to enable them to benefit from its digital platforms, as the service allows them, during their presence in Nimra Mosque, to browse the Ministry’s electronic services for pilgrims and download them on smart devices through “Wi-Fi” without the need for the Internet and at high speed, and also The Islamic Electronic Library screens, which contain electronic books on the nature of Hajj and Umrah and the etiquette of visiting, have been provided for download on smart devices in different international languages, which the visitor can download via QRcode technology.
The Saudi Ministry of Health warned the pilgrims of the dangers of exposure to the sun’s rays at Arafat today, Saturday, during the peak period from 11 am to 4 pm, noting that the Hajj season this year 1445 AH coincides with rising temperatures in the holy sites. This poses a great difficulty for pilgrims during the Hajj season.
She stressed that exposure to sunlight during the peak period for long periods poses a great danger to the health of pilgrims, and stressed that the pilgrims should take all necessary preventive measures to preserve their health and safety. The Ministry stressed that pilgrims should always use umbrellas to avoid direct exposure to the sun, drink water in sufficient quantities throughout the day, even if they do not feel thirsty, adhere to all health instructions and advice, and avoid going out and being exposed to the sun’s rays or walking on or touching surfaces.
