Media reports revealed that Israel handed the United States a document last week outlining its conditions for reaching a diplomatic solution to end the war in Lebanon. According to what the Axios website reported, quoting American and Israeli officials.
Israel demanded that the IDF be allowed to participate in “active enforcement” to ensure that Hezbollah does not rearm and rebuild its military infrastructure near the border, according to what the Axios website reported, quoting an Israeli official.
The report added that Israel also demanded that its air force be allowed to operate freely in Lebanese airspace.
An American official told the Axios website that it is unlikely that Lebanon and the international community will agree to Israel’s conditions.
The report added that the White House Special Envoy Amos Hochstein will visit Beirut today, Monday, to discuss a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
The Lebanese Hezbollah revealed that the resistance forces carried out 9 operations against the occupation army’s sites and gatherings on the border with Lebanon during the night hours.
Lebanese media confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces launched raids on the towns of Douris and Bodai in Baalbek, according to Cairo News.
It indicated that the occupation forces launched 16 raids on the headquarters of the "Al-Qard Al-Hassan" Association affiliated with Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Several Lebanese cities witnessed today a displacement movement in Beirut, Sidon and Baalbek as a result of the intensive Israeli bombing of the centers of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan Foundation.
It is noteworthy that the spokesman for the occupation army announced the launch of extensive strikes in Lebanon tonight, issuing warnings to those close to Hezbollah headquarters to stay away.
This came as the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth quoted a senior Israeli economic official as saying that enduring a long war in the north and south is difficult for the Israeli economy, noting that the expansion of the war in the north has cost $6.7 billion since the beginning of last September.
He added that the expenses of one day of fighting in Lebanon amount to about $134 million and may increase soon, indicating that the costs of ammunition used in Lebanon are very high.
The Israeli official stressed that the expansion of the war requires an increase in the budget in light of the absence of funding sources.

Recent data showed that the Israeli economy continued to decline during the second quarter of this year, against the backdrop of the ongoing war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip and its expansion into Lebanon.

The Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the gross domestic product rose by only 0.3% on an annual basis in the period from April to June, down from the 0.7% growth rate announced in the previous month, and the 1.2% growth rate announced in August.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said that an Israeli army bulldozer deliberately demolished earlier on Sunday a watchtower and a fence surrounding a UN site in Marwahin.

This came in a press statement issued by UNIFIL in which it renewed its reminder to the Israeli army and all actors of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property and to respect the sanctity of its premises at all times.
The mission reiterated that the violation of a UN position and damage to its assets constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution 1701. It also endangers the safety and security of UN peacekeepers in violation of international humanitarian law. The mission explained that the Israeli army had repeatedly asked UNIFIL to vacate its positions along the Blue Line, and deliberately damaged UN positions. Despite the pressure exerted on the mission and the troop-contributing countries, UNIFIL confirmed that peacekeepers remain in all their positions. "We will continue to carry out our mandated tasks of monitoring and reporting."
