Russia: Western satellites supporting Ukraine may become a legitimate target for our forces

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned today, Wednesday, of the possibility of targeting civilian satellites used by Western countries to support Ukrainian forces.
The Director of the Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Yermakov, said - according to (Russia Today) channel - that the satellites used to support the Kyiv forces may become a legitimate target for the Russian forces.
Yermakov accused Western countries of using the civilian space infrastructure in order to carry out combat missions for the Kyiv forces, including determining the locations and paths of Russian forces' movements, controlling marches, and directing high-precision missiles.
He pointed out that this provocative use of civilian satellites raises questions. Because the Outer Space Treaty requires its use only in the peaceful field.
