According to European Commission data, last week, Kyiv received financial support from the European Union during 2022, exceeding 19 billion euros ($20.1 billion) to support Ukraine this year.
Yesterday, Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged his people to stand firm in defending their country in the face of the Russian attack, amid Christmas celebrations.
"Freedom has a high price, but slavery is much more expensive," he said in a defiant speech Saturday.
This comes after Russia's missile and drone attacks have left millions of Ukrainians without electricity, heat or clean water.
