The European Union leaders are looking for competitiveness, migration, defense and situation files in Ukraine and the Middle East

Brussels: Europe and Arabs
In the invitation letter to attend the Brussels Summit for the leaders of the European Union, which kicks off next Thursday, Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, said. The axis of the agenda of this meeting is the file of competitiveness. And the follow -up of the discussion on the exceptional summit held on March 6, especially by addressing recent developments regarding Ukraine and the following steps for defense after presenting the white paper on the future of the European defense and came in a call for a call to European leaders that the first day of the summit, that is, on Thursday, we will also hold a work lunch with the Secretary -General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres
"Our continuous support for Ukraine, the need to invest in our defense and competitiveness is closely linked. The most competitive union will be a stronger union, and a better ability to protect its citizens, interests and values on the global theater," said in the morning of the European Union institutions in Brussels in the morning of Friday morning.
In light of my consultations with you and discussions at the unofficial meeting on February 3, I have identified three priority areas for our competitive discussion that we must now decisively move: simplification, energy, and the Federation of Smarts and Investments. Of course, building our competitiveness also requires progress in other areas, including improving the unified market, enhancing talents and skills, and working on our industrial policy. We will specifically address procedure plans for cars, steel and metal sectors.
In addition, we will hold the first exchange of views on the following multi -year financial framework (MFF) and private new resources. We need a comprehensive approach to expenses and revenues. Given the challenges we face, it is important that we all deal with this discussion with an open mind and a spirit of collective responsibility. My goal is that these inputs can be taken into account by the committee before its proposals for the MFF financial framework, expected before the summer.
Here I would like to suggest the following guidelines:
How can we address the main financial equation for the following MFF's multi -year financial framework, that is, how can we make sure that the budget will get the necessary resources for the European Union to achieve the goals set by itself?
What will be the role of the new private resources in the next MFF, especially in light of the future payment of the upcoming generation of the European Union?
We will also have a number of other important issues on the agenda, including the immigration and deportation file, which is still a major priority for us: we will review continuous progress, in this file, on the basis of the head of the commission's head in its message. We will also discuss the latest developments in the Middle East. During our work lunch with the Secretary -General of the United Nations António Guterres, we will address multiple pluralism and other global issues, especially preparations for the third ocean conference of the United Nations and the Fourth International Conference on Development Finance.
The summit will start on Thursday at 11:00 Brussels time with our traditional exchange of opinions with the European Parliament Speaker. We will also have the possibility of hearing Urkani President Zelinski.
After lunch, President Christine Lagarde of the European Central Bank and the head of the euro Group in the shapes of Donuhu will join our discussions on economic issues and competitiveness within the framework of the euro summit in a comprehensive coordination. During dinner, we will exchange views on the following MFF's following MFF financial framework and new resources.
He concluded, "I will seek to hold our meeting in one day, but given the uncertainty surrounding potential international developments, I cannot exclude the possibility that we need to continue the next morning" Friday. "
