Gaza's Steadfastness and Egypt's Victory in the Battle for Peace... By: Mustafa Kamal Al-Amir

At a pivotal moment in modern history, Egypt demonstrated its ability to protect Arab national security and defend the Palestinian cause.
Within just 72 hours of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's invitation to US President Donald Trump,
Cairo successfully organized a peace summit in the South Sinai city of Sharm el-Sheikh, with the participation of 31 kings and heads of state, along with representatives from the United Nations and international and regional organizations.
Egypt Imposing Its Will
The summit came after Trump rejected seven UN resolutions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. However, Egypt's unwavering position forced the United States and Europe to accept a halt to the war and genocide, while ensuring that Palestinians would not be displaced and developing a plan for the reconstruction of the Strip.
Remarkably, Egypt did not raise the Israeli flag during the summit, unlike some Arab countries that did so during Trump's visit, fearing Washington's wrath.
Courageous Stance and Evocation of History
President el-Sisi reaffirmed the principles of Egyptian policy, invoking the spirit of the late leader Anwar Sadat and his courage in war and peace.
By rejecting temptations and threats, Egypt stood against attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Two years after the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023, Cairo has achieved a major political accomplishment.
It will culminate in hosting an international conference next month to finance the reconstruction of Gaza, with the participation of Trump and world leaders.
International Solidarity and Colombia's Honorable Position
In a scene reflecting the breadth of international solidarity, Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced the allocation of $300 million in gold revenues (confiscated through smuggling) to support the reconstruction of Gaza. This move defied American pressure after his courageous stance at the United Nations.
A memorial should be established for the victims of the "Palestinian Holocaust"—the Israeli war of extermination—in the central Gaza Strip.
The names of 70,000 martyrs should be engraved and engraved.
A quarter of a million wounded and disabled people who lost their limbs, hands, and feet to the bombing should be cared for.
The Battle for Awareness in Europe
Meanwhile, some extremist groups in Europe are trying to obstruct Sisi's upcoming visit to Brussels for the first summit between Egypt and the European Union. However, reality confirms that Egypt was the first to open the Rafah crossing to aid Gaza,
providing humanitarian and political support, while others were content with slogans.
Palestinian unity is a necessity
After the Gaza Strip's steadfastness in the face of the Israeli war machine, the return of disputes between Palestinian factions (Fatah and Hamas) is no longer acceptable.
The issue of prisoners and missing persons, including Hussam Abu Safia and the body of martyr Yahya Sinwar, also raises questions about the post-war period.
The prisoner exchange deal included:
157 prisoners from the Fatah movement
65 from Hamas
and the rest from Islamic Jihad and other factions.
A decisive Egyptian position
History has recorded Egypt's nationalist stance rejecting the displacement of Palestinians to Sinai in exchange for $200 billion.
This refusal prevented the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and the annexation of the West Bank and the Golan Heights to Israel.
Diplomatic and media activity
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs led a broad campaign to explain Egypt's efforts to end the war. Minister Badr Abdel Aty has appeared in several interviews with prominent media figures such as Christiane Amanpour and Becky Anderson on CNN. He also participated in CBS's Face the Nation and conducted an interview with the Associated Press.
Between Sykes-Picot and the Borders of the World
At the end of the scene, the historical question is raised again: After the Sykes-Picot Agreement, which drew the borders of the Middle East, who drew the borders of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America?
"Enter it in peace and security."
This verse appears in the Holy Quran in only three places: Paradise, the Kaaba, and the land of Egypt.
