The 2022 uprising has unique features that not all previous uprisings had:

- Although the spark of this uprising began with the killing of the oppressed Kurdish young woman Mahsa Amini and spread in the cities of Kurdistan as a general strike, it quickly spread to the major Iranian cities including Tehran, the capital, Mashhad, Isfahan, Rasht and many other cities and expanded to all provinces, Which was not like this in the previous uprisings to include all major cities and in the various regions of these cities. For example, the formation of protest gatherings and clashes in 21 districts in Tehran alone
- This uprising is regular and has organizational elements behind it that lead it in particular in every city and in general in all parts of the country... This is what the regime's authorities and media have admitted, including Qalibaf, the head of the regime's council, and everyone says that the Mojahedin-e-Khalq are behind it. The resistance units, supporters of the Mujahedin-e-Khalq, which began their activities years ago, have been working night and day to reach such an uprising and such days. Previous uprisings also had a role, but this time this revolution came after 9 years of continuous activities of the resistance units, so these units played a very prominent role in this uprising.
- The role of women in leading this uprising appears through all films and field facts, where women played an important role and in many scenes a leading role as well. A large percentage of the detainees are also women... I confirm that this is one of the features of the Iranian uprisings in which the role of women is prominent.
- General participation of the middle class in the uprising: In the 2009 uprising, the middle class was in the arena, but only in Tehran. And this time the middle class, the intelligentsia and the students came to the field, but this time, this class participated in all the cities, and in all the big cities, the universities also joined the uprising. .
- Weak system in managing the crisis and controlling the cities: In some cities, and even today, which is the tenth day of the uprising, a number of cities fall, and there are reports that the city of Eshnawiya has fallen into the hands of the people ... and also the police chief in Gilan province in the north Iran admitted that we are one step away from the downfall of several nights ago.” He stressed, “If reinforcement forces were not sent from the neighboring provinces, the people would have won in the field, but now those provinces themselves are facing challenges, and the regime suffers from a shortage of forces and this shortage of forces.” It's very dangerous.
- Another difference in the goals of the intifada, and this emerges in the slogans of the uprising. In the previous uprisings, the slogans of the aggressors and their demands were launched from union issues, and they had a specific demand, such as the uprising of gasoline or water in Isfahan or bread ... etc. And the regime was stopping them, even temporarily, through repression and answering some of their requests, but this time, although it started with a murder, but from the beginning the slogans were about the need to overthrow the entire regime and focused on the person of Khamenei.
- Another advantage is that the slogans against the regimes of the Shah and the mullahs, meaning the current regime and the former regime at the level of the people, were widely circulated in all protests, and the protesters clearly say that we do not want this regime just as we do not want the previous regime, and they affirm that we do not want to return to the past .. We want freedom and a republic democracy.
