Artificial Intelligence and Getting Out of Control Prepared ... by Dr. Abdel Moneim Sedky, ,,,Professor at the Agricultural Research Center - Egypt

Over the past decade, exciting algorithms such as ChatGPT and MedJourney have been rapidly developed and popularized. In addition to many similar artificial intelligence applications, especially those related to detecting fraud and cheating, or filtering CVs or surveillance cameras. Technology companies (Google - Tik Tok - Meta) made their profits by targeting ads and it turned out that the algorithms of these applications can spread misleading news or prescribe wrong or fake medications that endanger mental health. These applications are also used to manage and coordinate illegal activities such as the slave trade, as they lead to more hatred and help undermine political systems. According to the United Nations, these algorithms have become a threat to national security. Also, its development takes place in a very mysterious way, and it is difficult for any third party to view the algorithms of Google - Tik Tok - Meta or Open, i.e. Google dismissed its ethics unit and Meta terminated the work of its responsible innovation team. Microsoft also dismissed an ethical team for their objection to an unethical publishing process. Those powerful companies succeeded in establishing their global state to design their algorithms with the absence of any accountability.
The technology relies on many levels of algorithms that simulate neurons in the human body so that artificial intelligence can absorb a huge amount of data, analyze it and deduce patterns that it converts into ideas and applications such as reading images, voice recognition, listening, image and sound analysis as a human mind, and building a reaction or opinion or reaching an idea from the input. We should not be dazzled by algorithms in smart grids, cars, planes, power plants, data centers, banks, smartphones, and social networks, and forget or neglect cybersecurity.
The movie The Matrix is set in the year 2090, when artificial intelligence developed greatly to replace humans in all manual jobs, and one of the robots killed its owner, and the war broke out between humans and robots and lasted for years, until the robots won. The treatment and plot of the Matrix movie seem fanciful or exaggerated, but during the last two decades, the field of artificial intelligence has witnessed a revolution that has exceeded the expectations of science fiction writers.
• In 1997, Deep Blue, a supercomputer manufactured by IBM, defeated the world champion in chess in a match that asked the question: What are the other areas in which artificial intelligence will outperform humans?
• In 2002, a robot called Roomba appeared, which is a self-running circular vacuum cleaner.
• In 2010, IBM introduced a computer that contains artificial intelligence, which companies can rely on in difficult operations and expectations, and it was known as Watson.
• In 2011 the electronic assistant "Siri" Siri, from Apple in all phones and computers
• In 2017, there was a development of a robot simulating the human form "Humanoid", the most famous of which is the robot Sophia, who obtained Saudi nationality, to be the first event in which a robot obtains a legal status and rights as a normal person.
• In 2020, the American company, Waymo, launches the first driverless taxi service in Arizona.
• IBM released the Argumentative Project, a computer with the ability to argue with humans on logical issues, and featured artwork and articles made by artificial intelligence.
It seems that we are taking steady steps towards the Matrix movie script and granting the mechanism, Sophia, Saudi nationality, a development that the filmmakers had not thought of. Over the past five years, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, and Bahrain have started specialized universities to teach artificial intelligence sciences. The first areas affected by the artificial intelligence revolution will be the health field, and there will be great reliance on artificial intelligence for the development of medicines, "telemedicine" and robotic surgeries. The robotic tutor will accompany the student in his educational stages, which will evolve according to the student's specific needs. We will also see modern banks (New Banks), which are banks without branches and employees.
Artificial intelligence has the ability to provide accurate answers to some extent and carry out human tasks for many professions, such as writing, translation, accounting, financial analysis, information gathering, and so on. This raises many fears of losing their jobs. Humans currently hold 88% of jobs globally, as opposed to machines, and this rate is expected to change in favor of machines, so that humans are a minority among the workforce, occupying 47% of jobs. The World Economic Forum indicates that 75 million employees will be lost as a result of full automated replacement. By 2030, robots will take over more than 20 million jobs in manufacturing, according to Oxford Economics. But jobs will appear that depend on creativity, sense and human judgment. According to economic forecasts, 133 million jobs will also be created in new jobs with new technologies.
In a post on the “Future of Life” website, Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, founder of SpaceX and Tesla, co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak, Craig Peters, founder of “Getty Images”, Yuval Noah Harari, Imad Moustaki, founder of “Stability IA” and Karen Larsen, co-founder of “Ripple”, and Jan Tallen, co-founder of Skype, demanded a temporary halt to the development of artificial intelligence programs until the adoption of protection systems to regulate The role of scientific research in artificial intelligence should be to create useful intelligence, not undirected intelligence, and to modernize the judicial system so that it can decide cases related to this intelligence. The developers of this technology themselves admit that they cannot predict the behavior of artificial intelligence applications. This week the Security Council held its first debate  Official on artificial intelligence to control artificial intelligence and establish an international monitoring body to monitor mechanisms and applications to protect human rights.
