The Wolof-Senegalese proverb says: “The boat of a madman does not dock, and if it is anchored, it does not dock where it pleases its relatives.” It seems clear from the first glance that this proverb does not constitute a steady rule, and we hope that it is, because the boat represents our dear country Senegal, and the sailor who drives it is Macky Sal, who was familiar with political intrigue and confinement within narrow partisan battles. This parable, from my own perspective, accurately depicts the psychological state of President Macky Sall in the way he leads Senegal, especially in his dealings with the "leader of the opposition" Ousmane Sonko, head of the Pastev party! There is no denying that the removal of the barriers unjustly and unfairly erected by the Macky government in front of Sonko's house in the (Kr Gorge) neighborhood is considered a sign that we can say - with great reservation - that it bodes well and suggests the beginning of Senegal's exit from the dark tunnel into which it was plunged nearly two years ago. Accordingly, we hope with all our hearts that serious and sincere peaceful steps will follow, such as the release of all political prisoners and the final cessation of repeated attempts to obstruct Sonko from running for the presidency in 2024. It seems that President Macky Sall has begun to realize - and we hope that he will be so - that his plan drawn up from the beginning has failed miserably, and that from now on he will take a different path by finding an "honorable" way out for himself after making sure that all his political tricks and tactics to exclude the leader have been exhausted. The veteran, Osman Sonko, for running for the presidency in 2024 AD. There is no doubt that detaining Leader Sonko in his home and preventing him from leaving for 52 days is an unfair act that was not based on any legal right. She sleeps because of the latter's charisma and broad popularity unprecedented in modern Senegalese political history!
The burning question on all tongues is: Has Macky Sall come to his senses? Will Macky Sall refuse to move forward in the path of political calculations after announcing the end of his rule? Will he anchor his boat to safety after this positive step he has taken? Yes, we acknowledge that it is a positive step, because returning from the truth is better than going far in error, and getting out of misguidance to guidance is undoubtedly a praiseworthy thing. From this point of view, Naful: Do I have to now wear the dress of Nostradamus to predict the future of Macky Sall and his party and what they will do in terms of actions and actions, or should I just remain an analyst of the political situation? It seems to me that there is a convergence or overlap between them, because every analyst is a forecaster, although not necessarily, and not every predictor is an analyst. In any case, it is in Macky Sal's interest not to risk the rest of his life and make it subject to a bleak future surrounded by an overwhelming evil!
It remains now to record here that the greatest credit for removing the barriers from Sonko's house is due to the people who stood beside Chief Sonko with intelligence, wisdom and rare courage! In fact, the Senegalese people did not fall into the trap set by Macky Sall's government. This awareness and political maturity are evident in the people's vision that removing the barriers is not a necessary and urgent battle that must inevitably be fought at that moment. It must be inevitable with the main aim of putting an end to Mackie's presidency and government. Therefore, the people spared themselves from waging partial, side battles. I may also note here that the broad base of the people, particularly the youth, for the first time throughout modern Senegalese history, we meet them more aware of the promising and expected future for Senegal and more politically mature than the elite with all its spectrums, because this elite, especially the politicians, believed that it still controls the imagination The people and that they have the reins of all factors, elements and tricks to continue living at the expense of the people and sucking the blood of their children, as it has always done and used to do in the past, that is, since Senegal gained its alleged independence in 1960 AD. Based on it, it can be said without arbitrariness that the star of the inherited system generation has fallen without return, and that a new formation of the Senegalese mind has already formed with the emergence of leader Sonko on the political stage. It is a generation aware of its renaissance future, also aware of the precious minerals and wealth that its land embraces, capable of transforming their state from its miserable and deplorable condition to a much better one, so that it is parallel to the Gulf states in terms of economic sophistication and the well-being of its population in terms of income and job opportunities, etc. What is remarkable here is that this generation, less than a decade ago, realized with the opposition leader Osman Sonko, head of the Bastev Party, the opportunity of his life that is impossible to miss, but must inevitably be seized at all costs. What is also noticeable in the media, especially on the Internet, WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok... is the determination and extreme firmness of this generation to break with the model of the inherited political system and its people. In other words, the interaction of this generation with the Senegalese reality, especially its manifestations on the political level, reflects to a large extent the emergence of an unprecedented Senegalese spring, perhaps more aware in the mindset of its bearers than the spring that was known in some Arab countries in the past decade. Therefore, we will not be surprised if a person stands bewildered in front of this proud generation, which is determined to take its fate into its own hands with all responsibility and awareness. Hence, I have the right to affirm that the tense atmosphere and violent political strikes that the Senegalese people have experienced recently, specifically since March 2019 AD to this historical moment in which we are living, have prepared the reasons and conditions for questioning, from the perspective of values and morals, the nature of the relationship between the Senegalese political elite and political professionalism. As well as the relationship of clerics (I mean religious houses and Sufi orders, ...) with politics,Rather, it contributed greatly to the people's failure to resort to traditional religious references to solve their problems and political crises. This is because Sonko succeeded, from my point of view, in rebuilding the word political in the brains of a large segment of Senegalese, in other words, what Sonko did was nothing but building political work (political professionalism) on values and morals, not as the word politics was promoted as a dark and dangerous forest in which it does not prevail Except for scoundrels who have mastered treachery, cunning, deceit, lying, breaking promises and betrayal, and using resonant and flashy speeches, etc. It is true that Senegal, in our current time, is going through an exceptional historical-political turning point, in other words, Senegal is facing a new paradigm (ideological or ideological model), that is, a generation of another type that is more aware and mature, a generation that has realized historical responsibility, a generation that is able to take risks for its future, Rather, he gave his soul for the sake of development, renaissance, and joining the ranks of modernity. Leader Sonko is a seasoned politician who has been able to deservedly wake the Senegalese people from their deep slumber and give them insight into their near future, i.e. what awaits them in terms of luxury, prosperity and development in every sense of the word! In fact, the dream that President Sonko sold to the Senegalese people and particularly to the youth - and I hope that it will be realized on the ground - constitutes the founding focus of this new paradigm. In this context, I saw the need to create a new scientific workshop in which we invite political thinkers, sociologists and everyone like them to study not only this new style of political leadership that Mr. Africa, but also the interaction of the people and the extent of their awareness and maturity towards this new pattern, and everything related to it from near or far.
Based on the foregoing, it seems that the era of Macky Sall has ended irrevocably, at the moment when he announced that he would not run for the presidency in 2024 AD. From then until today, we notice failures in his plans: Parliament representatives refused to adopt Article 87 of the law that authorizes the president to dissolve parliament when he is permitted to do so. Likewise, he has waited until now to announce or appoint a candidate from his party to lead his coalition to run for the 2024 presidential elections. Finally, his agreement to remove the barriers that were erected in front of the house of the leader, Osman Sonko, without any legal right. This is in addition to the whirlwind, disagreement and rivalry that has recently spread within his party and his coalition, spreading like wildfire. Even the supporters of Macky Sall and his party (APR) realize today that he, i.e. the president, no longer has the audible word and blind obedience as in the past, so I do not think that any of his supporters, particularly the opportunists among them, will risk his life or bet his future to defend a president who will step down from power within 7 months or less. President Macky Sall, at this critical and difficult moment that he is going through, has isolated himself by himself, and his authority has become fragile, and even weaker than a spider's web! From this perspective, it can be said that Macky Sall no longer has the option of peace and dialogue, that is, a serious and sincere attempt on his part to exit from a door that honors him and honors the remaining months for him in the presidency, otherwise I fear that he will have an unfavorable fate. In the end, Mackie Sal has to realize that the world has two days, a day for you and a day for you. He loves the wrongdoers) [Al-Imran: 140], and those who will succeed him We remind them of the Almighty’s saying: (This is a nation that has passed away. They will have what they earned, and you will have what you earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do) [Al-Baqara: 140].
